Some people shouldn't be allowed to be police officers

I saw this a week ago and thought "man, this police officer is horrible". Basically Ryan Moats, a player for the Houston Texans, was trying to go see his dying mother-in-law in the hospital. He broke some traffic laws, but was pulled over in the hospital parking lot. He pleads with the cop to let him see his dying relative, but the cop refuses. Videos are in the link. At the time I was disgusted a cop could act like that, but I know all cops aren't like that. I wondered if there was some underlying racism. Based on something else I read the officer, who has a police seal tattooed on his arm, the officer had a previous incident involving Zach Thomas' wife(another football player). Turns out he got reassigned to desk duty and later resigned. It is just sad some abuse the privileges given to them. But luckily, b/c of media pressure, things worked out.

When most hear about a budget reconciliation, most either don't know what it is or go to sleep. But this is something worth paying attention to... But now the Democrats are threatening to use it to pass health care initiatives. This has been done in the past... but not to the extent that Democrats are trying to do it. The problem it creates is that only a majority is needed to pass. This could be very dangerous. If the Dems do this, it could mean an even bigger stalemate after the fact. So it comes down to this... does Obama think that Congress can work together in a bipartisan way if they don't bring forth sweeping ecomonic changes? My guess is that from what has happen at this point, is that Obama won't try and bring the sides together and will do what he can to get what he wants passed now. So far I don't like the shift of this nation, but we will see...

I want to discuss my job again. Today was very busy... as the whole week as been. I worked an extra hour today and didn't even sweat it. It is great having a job where you have work to do and feel like you are valued. It has been so refreshing. Sure everyone would rather not have a job, but I am really liking where I am now. I feel that it gives me something to do and challenges me a bit. I look forward to getting more and more responsibility over time.

Till next time, enjoy this:
