Save the Sea Kittens!!!

So I was just happening around the internet today and saw something that was very interesting. I saw a mention of sea kittens. Not knowing what they were, I decided to look it up. The first result that came up was PETA. I was immediately exhilarated. So much potential. After brief overview of the site, I found myself intrigued. Maybe PETA finally did have a worthy cause... something I could get behind. The basis is this... the name "fish" has a bad connotation. Who hasn't realized this? It is so obvious. My straw pole of 2 people shows that the word "fish" immediately brings thoughts of hooks, killing, and tasty food. This 12 year old says it better than I ever could:

"I don't see fish as sea kittens; I see them as food," says 12-year-old Chastity Haskins.

That is just so eye opening and so sad. PETA brings up a great point also... who would want to hurt a sea kitten. With this name change, you would immediately see th
e killing of fi...sea kittens stopped. No one would want to harm something so cute. I mean Sea Kittens feel pain just like the rest of us.

Not only that, but the site lets you create your own sea kitten. I mean who could kill "Rocker"?

Or what about "Princess"?

Just think of these two sweet sea kittens next time you think about eating one... or trying to catch one. Befriend them, surely they will talk back, right? I would encourage everyone to go enjoy the site! It is such a learning experience.
