The First 100 Days - A flip-flopper, in politics? NO WAY!

Obama came into office claiming he would change how Washington was run. But everyone who decided to not drink the koolaide knew that would never happen. They continued the trend Bush started -> SPEND SPEND SPEND. Not only that, but they kept in place the disclosure laws that so many have fought... after Obama said he wanted more transparency. Bipartisanship is out the window... the Dems are using their advantage to pass health care initiatives in a way that the Republicans aren't allowed to filibuster.

One thing that really gets me going is Obama's flip-flop. First, he says that those involved in the torching would not be prosecuted. Then, b/c of Democrats pressuring him, he flipped. Said he would allow the Attorney General to make the decision. Then, just a few days later, after seeing the public outcry... he flipped back to the original decision. Shame, shame. It seems in this issue and a few others, his decision is a balancing act between trying to please his fellow Dems and trying to remain popular. That is no way to run a country. Inviting prosecution is a bad, bad idea.

I love how Pelosi is such a snake. You can't lie without being caught. Just admit you knew about it already. I'm kinda split on the whole torture thing. Sure, torture is bad. Sure our enemies are worse. I can't stand the "America is better than that" argument. America has proven in the past we don't have morals(exaggeration, I know). We have done many unthinkable things, so why stop now? All in all, I don't think it is okay to torture. As a human, I'm just not sure it is right. But I'm not super strong one way or another. I'm having a hard time picking a side. But what I don't want is claimed OUTRAGE, when you didn't have outrage until it was helped you politically(Pelosi).

Two more tidbits:

** We need tax reform. A simple system, everyone paying less, and don't run more businesses of by forcing them to pay more corporate taxes.

** Check out this graphic. Read the key, click "START", then the big green button. Watch it progress. All I have to say: WOW!

Have a good one!
