Our President Elect collects comics...

Saw this list of 50 things you probably don't know about Barack Obama. It was interesting. Here are the ones I liked:

• He collects Spider-Man and Conan the Barbarian comics - HAHAAHAHAAHA

• His favourite snacks are chocolate-peanut protein bars - one of my favorites too!

• He can bench press an impressive 200lbs - well I bench 400 lbs, what now?

• He applied to appear in a black pin-up calendar while at Harvard but was rejected by the all-female committee. - well I guess when that career failed to get off the ground he turned to politics?

• As a teenager he took drugs including marijuana and cocaine - which president doesn't have this on his resume?

• He hates the youth trend for trousers which sag beneath the backside

• He owns four identical pairs of black size 11 shoes

• His favourite fictional television programmes are Mash and The Wire

• He was given the code name "Renegade" by his Secret Service handlers

• He plans to install a basketball court in the White House grounds - gotta love this...

• His speciality as a cook is chilli

I found this economic data in pdf form from Merrill Lynch. It is 76 pages, but it is all charts, so don't get scared! My next post will probably be about this, as I have more time to dissect it.

Also, please watch this informational video/slideshow. It is a great informational video about how the federal budget works and the crisic that we face in the coming years with social security. I found it interesting that the video said that starting in 2011, 10,000 new beneficiaries will be added to the social security roles EVERY DAY. Something needs to be done, but every president has put off dealing with this. We are almost to the point where it is too late!
