I've been listening to a lot of Christian radio lately. I don't like most of the music on the radio in the first place, and I like most of the stuff on the "hip" Christian stations. On one of the shows they talked about how sometimes it seemed like God wasn't their and wouldn't answer your prayers. God told Abraham he was going to be the father of many nations at 75, then made him was 24 years! God told the nation of Israel they would be out of bondage in Egypt... then they proceeded to wait 400 years on Him. After they got out of bondage, they then had to wait in the Wilderness 40 years before they could enter the Promised Land. Sometimes we get impatient, and I think it is these times God seems to make us wait even more. I have been getting impatient about finding a new church. I want to just find a place so I can get involved and find some good Christian friends. God wants things done on his time and obviously we want things done on our own time. I think everyone can learn from the Old Testament prophets and how they were willing to wait.
I heard this song from Tenth Avenue North and I thought it was amazing.
My dad sent me this an email with some clips from a Christian comedian Michael Jr. It is pretty good stuff. I kinda want to go see this guy now!
He sent me this one:
Does this remind you of anyone you know?
Today I visited Aviator Church, it was their first service ever. I really enjoyed it.
