Someone likes feet?

I saw this very strange article, just thought I would share. Now that is taking a foot obsession to another level.

Saw in the news today that Tiger Woods is out for the rest of the 2008 golf season. Apparently he was playing in the US Open with a ruptured ACL that happened last year and a stress fractured tibia which they found before the Buick Open this year. All I have to say is WOW. The toughness/mental toughness this guy displays is amazing. But, one thing I did notice is that no one moves their head more than Rocco Mediate. You would seriously think he was on drugs.

I guess next I could actually talk about my life, but it is rather boring right now. I went home this weekend and played in a church golf scramble. If you don't know, that means 4 people play on a team and everyone hits a ball. You take the best ball and everyone hits from there until you get to the hole. I thought we would win it when we shot 8 under par, but some group with 4 guys I had never seen before won it with 10 under par. I was more upset that I didn't win the long drive. I hit a 280 yard bomb into the wind early in the morning with dew still covering the ground. I thought I had it won. Then, Tyler Manahan comes in and tells me he beat me by an inch. I thought it was hard to believe, but Nathan Zabka proved I really won. A worker thought Nathan's group was the last to play the hole, so they picked the stake up, losing where I had hit it. When he realized it, he tried to replace it, but it wasn't as far forward as originally. Well, Tyler hits the shot of his life and was just ahead of it, but off the fairway. If you don't know, the ball has to stay in the fairway to count, and Tyler put his name on it, despite just missing the fairway. I guess he thought he was close enough?? It sucks b/c I have never won the long drive before.

Work has been good and we've been learning a lot. Somehow I've become the "helper" for the 4 guys around me. Every question they have, they look at what I've done and come to me. I've became better friends with some of them and I actually stayed late today and talked to a guy for a while. The only guy I could see becoming really good friends with is married, so that kinda sucks.

This weekend I have a leasing meeting at my new apartments! I'm excited about that. I am looking into joining a men's golf league... which means I would play with a group most Saturdays. I think it would be a great way to meet other golfers, but since I'm gonna have free golf at the apartments I'm not sure I'm going to do it. Until next time...
