Well, not really, but today I do. I have been watching the site NON STOP the last 2 days b/c they are
having a woot-off. I really wanted to by a Bag of Crap b/c my curiosity has got ahold of me. So, I wait, and wait, and wait, watching an updater thingy the whole time I work. I drive straight home and watch it until I go to sleep... even staying up late! I don't leave work to eat and just run down to the grill downstairs to make sure I don't miss an item. Then I leave to go home and 2 minutes after I leave work, they have the Random Bag of Crap. I should have known...
Next on the agenda... Today at work one guy(Justin) was looking at the Oklahoma tax return and saw that it had some interesting Contributions you could make. See, if you don't know taxes, you can make contributions to anyone and lots of time get deductions. But these were extra special funds(at least Oklahoma thought so) b/c they were on the return. Oklahoma had the "Oklahoma Silver Haired Legislature Program", which I don't know what it is, but I assume you have to have silver hair to take part in the program. They also had the "Pet Overpopulation Fund" and "Junior Livestock Auction Scholarship Fund". Pretty interesting stuff, so I decided to look through all the other states and I picked my favorites.
Arkansas - Phenylketonuria Disorder Credit - I have never heard of this, but it has a long name which I thought was cool. Why would such a rare disease/disorder be set aside?
Arkansas Area Agencies on Aging - I wonder if this has something to do with all the imbreds? Maybe they age faster? Food for thought...
Minnesota -Unreimbursed expenses for human organ donation - I really wonder why they have that b/c you think Hospitals would pay for that anyways since the usually need the organs. I know if I was a Hospital I would be saying "thank you very much, please come to us next time you want to donate an organ"
New York - The have "sports utility vehicle depreciation" which is cool I guess, but why do they get special treatment over cars and trucks?
North Carolina - "X to print 'Filed under protest'" I thought this was really weird... I mean, if you don't want to file, don't file. Shoot, if I had a choice I would X it every time. I mean seriously, does NC really care if you are "protesting"?? I think they are gonna take your money either way.
Oregon - Mobile home park closure credit - That is just funny...
Virginia - Spay and Neuter Fund
Wisconsin - Packers football stadium donation - At least this one is really cool. Everyone up there is such a big Packers fan they decided to put it on the tax return!
I doubt you all found this as amusing as I did, but it did take up some of the free time I had in training!

somewhat amusing, and i actually was around for the b.o.c., but the servers were too busy the minute it came on. it's ridiculous, i feel gypped.
